👨💻 April technical updates outline the latest submissions for development
The OAK Network team concluded its recent event series by attending Coindesk’s Concensus2023. Meeting with partners, collaborators, and project founders alike across all of Web3, this year’s event reaped gains beyond our expectations. Take a look at our content below:
The OAK Network team submitted the following items for development in April:
- Increased the number of Turing Network collators to 26 with runtime upgrade v1.8.0.2
- Added XCM support for Moonbeam’s Mutli-location derivation in Turing v1.8.0.2
- Released OAK javascript utility oak.js to v1.8.0 which is compatible with the above runtime upgrade.
- Released a major Turing runtime upgrade of v1.8.1
The main goal of this update is to enable fee payments with foreign tokens, allowing users to pay fees using any token other than our native TUR token. This feature has been designed to provide significant flexibility, enabling users to pay fees with tokens of their choice.
For example, this will allow the YieldBay team to simplify their user experience by eliminating the need for MGX holders to swap and top up their wallets with TUR before auto-compounding the KSM-MGX pool.
- Continued to support YieldBay developer team’s build-out of an Auto-compound feature for Mangata liquidity pools.
- Currently, the team is upgrading Turing’s XCM version to v3, which will ensure that we’re in sync with the latest upgrade of Moonbeam and Astar.
